It gives me great pleasure to announce that The 1st Annual International Meeting of the Society of Molecular Imaging of Thailand (SMITH 2012) will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on the 9th through the 11th of April, 2012. The Event is organized by SMITH under the auspices of The World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS), The European Society of Molecular Imaging (ESMI), and The Federation of Asian Societies for Molecular Imaging (FASMI). The conference will hold sessions on the impact of molecular imaging on preclinical studies, clinical trials, clinical practices, drug discovery and therapy. This three-day event will feature oral presentations and array of visual displays from leading industrial, clinical, and academic experts in the field. The SMITH 2012 will bring together leading clinicians, medical scientists, medical chemists, pharmacologists, biotechnologists, and other allied professionals to announce the latest important developments in biomarkers and molecular probing. Additionally, there will be presentations and discussions on the applications of molecular imaging as its relates to prevention, diagnostics, drug discovery, and therapeutics.
 
The SMITH 2012 will provide an opportunity for the participants to present their research findings and interact with eminent colleagues. The attendees will also be able to experience the many rich Thai traditions, culinary delights, and the unforgettable magic of Bangkok.
